Cookie policy

Image Tools uses a small number of cookies and similar technologies. Analytics is optional and remains disabled unless you accept it.

Essential preference cookie

image_doctor_analytics records whether you accepted or rejected analytics so we do not ask on every visit. It lasts for 180 days and does not identify your image, website or email address.

Free recovery allowance

image_tools_free_visitor is an essential, signed browser cookie used to apply the limit for free single-image recoveries. It contains a random identifier, lasts for 72 hours and is not used for analytics or advertising.

Google Analytics

When analytics is enabled and you accept it, Google Analytics may set cookies including _ga and _ga_* to distinguish visits and provide usage reporting. We configure these cookies to last up to 180 days. Our analytics events use general Image Tools page categories, counts, outcomes and error categories. We exclude submitted image and website addresses, filenames, Squarespace website IDs, email addresses, individual recovery IDs and URL query strings from these events. We do not use analytics for advertising.

Sign-in cookies

Supabase uses essential cookies during email-link sign-in and to maintain your signed-in session, giving you access to your saved recoveries. These apply to all signed-in users, including customers and testers. They are separate from analytics consent and are not used for advertising or analytics. The session can be refreshed between visits; signing out clears the authentication cookies. Free single-image recovery does not sign you in.

Change your choice

You can change your choice below at any time. Choosing “Allow analytics” enables analytics immediately. Choosing “Essential only” stops further analytics collection on this page, prevents the Google tag from loading on future visits and removes accessible Google Analytics cookies for this site. It does not sign you out or remove information already collected. You can also clear cookies through your browser settings. If analytics is disabled for the service, the control will tell you.
